Corddry Tackles Press in the Bush White House
'The Daily Show' correspondent makes his way to Stone's 'W'
MTV is reporting that Rob Corddry has nailed down the role as press secretary Ari Fleischer in Oliver Stone’s Bush biopic W.
The site goes on to list a few of Fleischer's "highlights", but his performance in the flick is rather limited although he will be present in the room during a contested moment in the flick involving Bush shouting, "Did you tell her I'm going to kick HIS SORRY MOTHERFUCKING ASS ALL OVER THE MIDEAST?!" in reference to Saddam Hussein after noted newsperson Helen Thomas beats up Fleisher on the subject.
The quote first made headlines in ABC's script review and the extent to which Bush actually uses language like that has since been contested as has several portions of the script in The Hollywood Reporter.
I can't make available the entire script, but I can point out to you where you can read the opening scene, check it out at the Risky Biz Blog.
