Coppola's 'Bling' and De Palma's 'Passion' Rated in Today's MPAA Ratings Bulletin

Ten movies, ten R ratings

Latest MPAA Ratings: BULLETIN NO: 2264
Latest MPAA Ratings: BULLETIN NO: 2264

I don't pay close enough attention to know how often something like this happens, but I have to assume it isn't too often as ten films have been rated this week and all ten received R ratings.

Included in the ten is Sofia Coppola's new movie The Bling Ring, which received the kind of rating reason you'd expect for a troubled teen drama and then Brian De Palma's lackluster Passion starring Noomi Rapace and Rachel McAdams received a rather weak R, which is actually appropriate considering it is a rather weak film.

Below is the complete batch of latest MPAA ratings from Bulletin #2264.

Rated R For teen drug and alcohol use, and for language including some brief sexual references.
Release Date: June 14, 2013
Children Of Sorrow
Rated R For disturbing violent and sexual content, language, some graphic nudity and brief drug use.

Crazy Kind Of Love

Generation Um
Rated R For strong sexual content, drug use and language.
Holla II

.
Jabberwock

I thought De Palma's 'Passion' came out forever ago and just floundered and disappeared immediately. When I was in France 3 years ago, pretty much everything was plastered with signs for 'Crime D'Amour'.
Good to see 'Bling Ring' won't be watered down to a PG-13.
