Contender Notes 10/20a
Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Tom Sherak just announced Bill Mechanic, CEO of Pandemonium Films, and Adam Shankman, the director of Hairspray, as the producers of the 82nd Academy Awards telecast. This will be the first major Oscar show involvement for both men.
