Not one of these films catches my eye. The International and Year One might be really good.
"The Stepfather" sounds suspiciously like "The Uninvited" which is coming out at the end of January…except it's about a stepMOTHER who may be keeping a dark secret from her stepchild.
This is almost as delicious as when that "Infamous" movie came out a few months after "Capote". Good times.
As much as I despised the film version of "The Da Vinci Code," the trailer for "Angels & Demons" has got me intrigued. Here's hoping it can rise above the mistakes its predecessor made.
Also, I've been a longtime…not really a fan…but an appreciator (I realize that's not a word) of Roland Emmerich's disaster films – remember how you felt when you first saw Independence Day in theaters? – exactly. I hope that 2012 is a return to form for him, and not another "disaster" like 10,000 B.C.
