In Stephenie Meyer's The Host the goals are to love, believe and fight. In this latest featurette "love" is the central focus as Meyer along with the film's stars -- Saoirse Ronan who plays Melanie Stryder, Max Irons who plays Jared -- discuss the romantic side of the story.
That story, Earth is occupied by a species who erase the minds of their human hosts, leaving their bodies intact. Melanie Stryder (Ronan) is one of the last surviving humans who fights back, risking her life for the people she cares about most – Jared (Irons), Ian (Jake Abel), her brother Jamie (Chandler Canterbury) and her Uncle Jeb (William Hurt) – proving that love can conquer all.
Andrew Niccol (Gattaca) directs and Open Road will release the film on March 29.
