Check This Out, at Least 'Once'
I have heard good things...
I have already heard good things about Once and I am actually going to check it out this Friday when I normally would skip a little indie film like this.
Once is described as a modern day musical set on the streets of Dublin. Featuring Glen Hansard and his Irish band "The Frames," it tells the story of a street musician and a Czech immigrant during an eventful week as they write, rehearse and record songs that reveal their unique love story.
One RopeofSilicon reader already weighed in with this to say:
Recently saw this film in Ireland.
The best musical ever made.
And the best music film ever made. It's heart wrenching and real.
Do see this movie. It'll be a cult classic.
Glen Hansard will be bigger than James Blunt thanks to this film of ingenuity
Below you can check out the trailer and a music video featuring scenes from the film set to the song "Falling Slowly." Once hits theaters on May 18.
