Check Out the Trailer for One of the Funniest Movies I Have Ever Seen
Plus an R-rated clip to brighten up your Friday
The opening night film at the Seattle International Film Festival will be IFC's In the Loop, a film I saw at the press launch for the Festival about two weeks ago. This is a film everyone will need to see more than once because you and the audience will be laughing so hard you will have no chance at catching all of the jokes. This is, without a doubt, one of the funniest films I have ever seen.
In the Loop is a political farce poking fun at both British and American government in the midst of of a potential war, not to mention the possible collapse of a brick wall that could destroy an old woman's green house putting her life in immediate danger. It is quite possibly the most vulgar film I have ever seen, but every curse word is used as another punchline, or it just gets darkly real such as when James Gandolfini playing U.S. General Miller says, "At the end of the war you have to have some soliders left or else people think you lost."
Check out the trailer below as well as a not safe for work clip directly below that, and just trust me, this is a film you are going to want to see. In the Loop hits theaters on July 24.

Well it looks like it could be pretty good, but I didn't laugh for either clip.
It looks like it has a nice balance of topicality and well-timed humor though. Thanks for the recommendation.
"This is not a fucking Jane Austen novel!"
Lol. Best line.
Overall, I can't tell if it'll be really funny or just sort of pretentious and trying to be witty but not quite making it.
Really is a terrifically funny and clever film. Been out in UK for a month and I just can't wait to see it again. Close to the bone political comedy. And some cracking swearing!
Fantastic movie — I haven't laughed so often or so hard in a cinema for a very long time.
I am also yet to come across a single person who's seen it who doesn't feel the same.
I could see the coarseness of the language being a problem for those of a more sensitive disposition, simply on principle, which is a shame… but it's their loss.
Fucking fantastic movie.
I can't recommend this enough – finally a film that's all about the script rather than the explosions… I had to be helped out of the cinema afterwards at my stomach hurt so much from all the laughing… And unbelievably timely considering current world events. Worth it just to laugh at the limey's potty mouths!
@Andrew #1 – You didn't laugh at either clip?? This movie is probably not for you.
Interesting, my comment was removed? No free speech here then? I thought you welcomed different opinions?
