Introduction, behind the scenes and 50 second teaser
The upcoming December 8 DVD and Blu-ray release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince contains a 50 second sneak peek at Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and thanks to Jeremy at HPANA we have it for your enjoyment.
As HPANA points out, the video includes brief introductions from David Yates and David Heyman, as well as behind the scenes footage and the 50-second long teaser to the film, centered around the three hallows.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I hits theaters on November 19, 2010 and Part II arrives July 15, 2011. The first two images from Part I are now online and can be viewed in our gallery here.

OMG!!!! i got teary eyed! loved the books love dan rupert and emma… love the movies although they may not please some harry potter purists! this better be like the second half of half blood prince and not the silly teenage nonsense from the first half of half blood prince! cant believe we have to wait another year! WARNER BROS SIGN ME UP FOR TEST SCREENINGS PLEASE!

Rowling beats Meyer any day, and the adaptation of Rowling's novels into film beat Twilight any day. I expect that the final chapters in Harry Potter will be great on the big screen, or any screen in general.
If the last 50 seconds (or some version of it) ends up being the official theatrical teaser, it's easily the best of the series considering most of the Harry Potter teasers are 95% footage from previous films. Plus John Hurt narrating is an added double bonus.
I had written in the comment section on Rope of Silicon's preview of WB upcoming year, that I wasn't looking forward to the next installment of HP. But…. damn, if they haven't pulled me in again. Each time, I hope against the inevitable, that THIS will be the movie they get right. This time my hope is higher than usual, because this time, they have allowed themselves enough movie-time to include the necessary elements to tell the story.
I am a huge fan of the movies yet I am a bigger of harry potter than people how read the books anyway I know the end of it but that is all I know of the book so that the movie will still give me some surprises
@justin casey: I know what you mean it is very exciting I don.t think anyone knows how much time I have put in to looking for harry potter sneak peeks and behind the scenes stuff. It is exciting finally getting to see the climax of the films
Ok i have to admit since goblet of fire i felt the films have been going downhill, but from the look of this teaser trailer i may have found the contender for the top spot of my top ten films.

I think it looks fantastic. While "Half-Blood Prince" was not my favorite of the Potter films, I think the series is in secure hands under David Yates. He's taken the series to darker and more adult depths and overall, has left the series in better shape then he found it (Goblet of Fire, though being my favorite book was alas, my least favorite film). It's gonna be a long 11 months people.

This looks ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! I am a Harry Potter fan since I was 8 years old… When I read the first book. Now Im 17 and knowing the films are coming to an end, cause me a little bit of nostalgia…
Looks boring. This shit is so last decade (I'm referring to the noughties, not 90's).
@Irf: Harry Potter (both in book and film form) is one of the characters which defined the first decade of the 21st Century. Now, it's okay to not be a fan, but to refer to it as "shit" – uncool. Besides, if you dislike Harry so, why did you watch the featurette/teaser trailer and even bother posting a comment? Sounds like someone is hiding his bromantic feelings for master Harry…or are you more of a Dumbledore?
I can't wait. I love the Harry Potter series and the movies. I think it's way better than twilight. Twilight actors can't act. I love Dan, Rupert, Emma, Bonnie and Tom Felton (hottie) of course.can't wait for November. I got all the movies and i'm going to get the HBP movie for x-mas.

It looks like the 7th movie may be able to improve upon the war atmosphere, something which J.K. Rowling wasn't able to create for books 6 & 7. If the 7th movie manages to feel like it's taking place during a war, then I will finally be glad that they divided it into two parts (until now, I never thought it had been necessary).
everything that i saw in the sneak peak was AWESOME. i cannot wait until this movie comes out. everything i saw was as i imagined it would look. i'm so freaking excited. AMAZING!

I am not a fan of Harry Tosser. I saw the first movie when it came out and it rendered me bored. I regard it as insipidly twee storytelling. The actors are dull English kids whom present an annoying- by all means exportable- image of Britain that is simply untrue. Can't wait for this franchise to end.

OMG! This is so exciting! I can't wait!! Though I've noticed in the trailer Harry asks Ollivander about the Deathly Hallows and he replies, though in the book he says he doens't know what they are.. I hope they don't start messing things around like in the last two, 'cause it would be a shame being DH the most amazing of all them 7 books.
I can't believe someone is still commenting on this, but it's good to see a knowledgeable HP fan. You are right, it does appear that Kloves and Yates are taking liberties with Jo Rowling's story, yet again.
