Channing Directing 'The Joy of Funerals'
Uplifting title huh?
Variety is reporting that Stockard Channing is set to make her directorial debut with The Joy of Funerals, based on the short story collection by Alix Strauss who is penning the script.
The film will chronicle the darkly comic misadventures of Nina, a thirtysomething New Yorker, who, looking for love in all the wrong places, crashes the funerals of total strangers.
Channing can currently be seen in theaters with a small role in Must Love Dogs, but I will always know her as The First Lady from NBC's "The West Wing."
