Tony Burton is one of only three to appear in all six
Rocky films, re-teaming with Sylvester Stallone and Burt Young. A professional actor for over a quarter of a century, he posted a 16-3 pro boxing record and held the light heavyweight championship of Arizona. The six foot, 200 pound Burton knocked out, among others, Bob Smith and Denny Chaney. His most important match was a 1959 sixth round knockout defeat at the hands of undefeated Lamar Clark, the 10th rated heavyweight who had scored 38 straight knockouts.
In addition to playing the corner man in six Rocky tales, his approximately 100 movie and television acting credits include the Stanley Kubrick masterpiece The Shining, plus the movies Armed And Dangerous, Side Out, House Party 2, Hook, Knockout and Hack! He also acted in multiple episodes of The Paper Chase TV series.
