Karl Yune stars in Sony Screen Gem's summer release, Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid, opposite Morris Chestnut. He will be seen next in Forbidden Warrior, a fantasy film which he describes as Lord of the Rings meets Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, due for release by Miramax this fall.

Karl was born and raised in Washington D.C. and later moved to New York to attend Columbia University. While in school, Karl made ends meet by modeling and picking up campaigns from L'Oreal to Phat Farm clothing.

While attending Columbia, a classmate asked Karl to audition opposite her for the part of Romeo, in a production of "Romeo & Juliet". Karl won the role and this is where his love for the stage was born. He soon began performing in Off Broadway plays. Karl's decision to pursue acting as a full time career led him to leave Columbia halfway through his sophomore year to follow his dream. Shortly after, he was offered a five-year contract role on the day time Soap, "All My Children". He passed, and shortly after landed his lead film roles.

Karl spends his free time boxing and reading novels, and enjoys cooking for himself and his Pit Bull puppy. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
