Karel Roden is a celebrated Czech actor who made his Hollywood debut starring opposite Robert De Niro and Edward Burns as the cool clever and media-manipulating Emil Slovak in FIFTEEN MINUTES. Roden is a fifth generation actor who has appeared extensively in feature films produced in his homeland. His performance in TIME OF SERVANTS was lauded at the Cannes, Geneva and Montreal Film Festivals. Equally at home on the stage, Roden has appeared in leading roles at the Prague City Theatre and Prague’s Labyrinth Theatre, and has been a member of the Prague National Theatre since 1992. His performances in productions such as “Cold Shower”, “Don Juan” and “Faust” were received with great acclaim. He has recently starred in such films as Guillermo Del Toro’s HELLBOY (2004), THE BOURNE SUPREMACY (2004) by Paul Greengrass, and BULLETPROOF MONK (2003) by Paul Hunter, among others.
