"Graduating from a fine art degree in Sheffield England, David began as a journalist before moving into directing.

He now works between film, commercials, and videos, working with such artists as Aphex Twin, System Of A Down, Muse and Tori Amos.

His work has been nominated for over 60 awards in the last few years.

""Hard Candy"" premiered at Sundance 2005 and stars Emmy nominated actor Patrick Wilson and newcomer Ellen Page.

He lives in Los Angeles with his girlfriend and small dachshund.
