Ten years after leaving her hometown of Columbia, South Carolina to star in the hit CBS sitcom "Dave's World", Angell Conwell, is poised and prepared for success. This curvaceous starlet, busy guest starring on over a dozen hit sitcoms and dramas, is ready for her third feature film release in Spring 2004.
You remember her as Omar Gooding's feisty girlfriend Kim, in John Singleton's Baby Boy or maybe starring as the sexy spit-fire cashier, Antoinette, in DJ Pooh's The Wash. Angell is known for portraying sassy, sarcastic characters but she s excited that her genuine character, Tamika, in MGM s highly anticipated new comedy Soul Plane will add something different to her lengthy resume. She loves revealing that she isn t a one dimensional actress. People have seen her play a similar character once or twice and all of sudden they're pigeon held to that type, Angell won't allow that to happen with her. Being an actress is being versatile.
This twenty year-old has gained thousands of adoring fans as Raven's self-absorbed cousin Andrea on the hit Disney show "That's So Raven" and is currently filming episodes of "One on One" and "My Wife and Kids".
Whether hypnotizing you with a sexy stare in Erick Sermons "I'm Hot" video or flashing a schoolgirl smile in UPN s original television movie "What About Your Friends: Weekend Get-Away", Angell is always giving 100% to her craft. She is also anxious to give back to all of her supporters. Hard at work on her clothing line, AngellBabeeKids and a housing homeless children project, Angell continues to display devotion to her community. She recently served as the celebrity announcer at the South Carolina Black Expo along with Spike Lee and Vivica A. Fox.
Many are surprised that Angell is not a household name yet. But Angell is un-phased, she comments, "I understand that Hollywood is not always about how much talent you have. It can be very political. Timing is key and I have no doubt that my time is coming."
She will also be seen as Naomi in Jean Claude LeMarres's upcoming docu-drama Sugar Valentine due for an early Spring 2004 release.
Angell currently resides in Encino, California with her God-sister and adored pit bull Xeena.
