Caviezel Suffers One 'Long Weekend'
New thriller brings in Jesus
Jim Caviezel has sort of been out of the spotlight for a while since his 2004 turn as Jesus in Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ, but he has just signed on to star in a remake of a 1978 Australian suspense thriller called Long Weekend with Claudia Karvan.
Jamie Blanks is set to direct the film which centers on a young couple on a camping trip who disregard the local environment by shooting guns and wounding animals until the wildlife starts to hit back.
Shooting is set to begin in Australie in mid-November. If you are wondering who Jamie Blanks is, he directed the genre films Urban Legend and Valentine, and die hard Star Wars fans may know Claudia Karvan as Sola Naberrie from Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. Personally I have no idea who that character is.
