Catherine is Keen on 'The Soloist'
Actress set to join Foxx and Downey
Catherine Keener continues to prove she is a fantastic actress and you will know what I am talking about once you catch Into the Wild, and she is taking that ability to her next project for Atonement helmer Joe Wright, The Soloist.
Starring opposited Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr. this film is made for award season considering all the buzz around Wright and his latest film.
The pic is set to start filming in January 2008 and centers on Nathaniel Ayers, a homeless musician with schizophrenia who dreams of playing at L.A.'s Disney Hall. The screenplay, by Susannah Grant (Erin Brockovich), is based on a 2005 series of articles by Los Angeles Times columnist Steve Lopez.
Downey Jr. will play Lopez, who found Ayers (Foxx) on the streets of downtown Los Angeles. Keener will portray Lopez's wife.
I am already looking forward to this one.
