Paramount Pictures sent over the above image of Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy with the subject line "ANCHORMAN 2 IMAGE!" Considering Anchorman 2 doesn't begin shooting until February 2013, let's just say this is a new "ANCHORMAN 2 IMAGE (FROM THE UPCOMING TEASER TRAILER)" I guess means this is actually a new look as Ferrell and most likely just an image of him in the upcoming teaser trailer, which will debut in front of The Dictator this Wednesday, May 16.

The picture was first posted online by a Burgundy dedicated Twitter account where the fictional character wrote, "I don't know what a teaser trailer is either but they say you all will. When did the world get so crazy? I'm having a scotch."

News there would be a teaser in front of The Dictator isn't new, but this does serve as confirmation, as Collider heard from a reader over the weekend who wrote in saying:

Just got out of a screening of The Dictator. There is an Anchorman 2 teaser attached featuring the Channel 4 news team (minus Veronica) stating how excited they are to return… a concept that Brick seems to have a hard time with. Also, not sure if it was an official title or more of a slogan but the screen title read Anchorman: The Legend Continues followed by 2013?”

So, if you're heading to The Dictator this week and you're an Anchorman fan, you'll get a little treat. As for the film, it isn't expected to actually begin shooting until February, so it sounds like we're looking at a Holiday 2013 release.

You didn't think Fox was done giving you Prometheus goodies did you? They've teased the hell out of the film with trailers and now the clips have… landed.

This first clip is called "The Landing" and, well, I don't really want to give it away, but it features the spaceship known as Prometheus and it… lands. For the spoiler conscious this isn't any big deal as much as it is a display of some of the film's effects and a cursory introduction to the film's characters. This is likely a scene that takes place in the film's first 10 minutes so I don't think you're going to hurt your enjoyment by watching it.

Then again, I only skimmed it with the sound off, perhaps the secret to the entire thing will be revealed. Click forth at your own risk.

You can watch the clip in HD at Apple.

Prometheus hits theaters on June 8. The film is directed by Ridley Scott and stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba and Logan Marshall-Green.

Generic 'Sin City 2' and 'Machete Kills' Posters

Titles are all we have for now

I saw these over the weekend but thought they might be fakes so I held off, but it would appear this pair of teaser posters for Robert Rodriguez's Machete Kills and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (aka Sin City 2) are legit.

As for production starts, Machete Kills is set to get underway soon with Danny Trejo back in the title role as Machete, this time recruited by the U.S. Government to battle his way through Mexico to take down a madman cartel leader and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer who has hatched a plan to spread war across the planet with a weapon in space. Machete takes on an army in an effort to dismantle a plan for global anarchy.

Joining Trejo are returning Machete actors Jessica Alba and Michelle Rodriguez with Mel Gibson, Demián Bichir, Amber Heard and Sofia Vergara. The film is expected to be released next year and I would assume Fox would again handle distribution, though I don't see their logo on the poster.

Next is a teaser poster for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, which Dimension Films is locked in to distribute with Mickey Rourke, Michael Clarke Duncan, Rosario Dawson, Clive Owen and Jessica Alba all expected to return.

The synopsis hasn't been made official yet, though the title makes it quite clear it will find its roots in Frank Miller's graphic novel "A Dame to Kill For" and it's said "Just Another Saturday Night" and an upcoming new installment in Miller's "Sin City" franchise, "The Long, Bad Night," is also said to play a role.

Disney has released a new clip from the upcoming Pixar-animated feature Brave centered on the three mischievous triplets — Hamish, Harris and Hubert. They are the three younger brothers of the film's lead character Merida (Kelly Macdonald) and apparently they are quite fond of tarts.

Brave hits theaters on June 22, for more on the film click here.

On June 1 it looks like you'll have to make the decision between Piranha 3DD and Snow White and the Huntsman when it comes to new major theatrical releases. Which apple will you bite from, the one that bites back or the one delivering the fruit? (Feel free to decide for yourself which is which.)

The one I am more interested in is Universal's Snow White and the Huntsman, though I feel it could just as easily be one of the summer's better films as it could be the biggest disappointment over the next four months. Which will it be?

Starring Kristen Stewart as the titular Snow, the film centers on her dispute against the evil queen (Charlize Theron) who has dispatched a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) to kill the fair maiden not knowing she has actually been training in the art of war with the very same man. Swords clash and other stuff happens, but will it be your average actioner or something better?

I have just added 19 new pictures from the film in my gallery that now totals 68 images.

I have included six of the more interesting images to this post, just click on any of the following thumbnails to browse those or to give the whole lot a look just click here.

I've seen all the movie blogs reporting on some kind of viral thing going on for The Amazing Spider-Man over at Oscorp Industries and apparently it has finally paid off with something some of you may actually be interested in.

In the featurette below Rhys Ifans and director Marc Webb discuss Ifans's character in the film Dr. Curt Connors and his villainous alter-ego The Lizard. Along with the interview footage it also includes some additionaly, never seen footage from the film.

Inspect Bane's Mask in New 'Dark Knight Rises' Photo

Want a good look at the mask Tom Hardy wears as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises? Well check out this new photo of Hardy in character courtesy of Total Film.

I will say this, however, I don't agree with Total Film insisting The Dark Knight Rises "is, hands down, the most anticipated film of the year." Personally, it was my second most anticipated film of the summer after Prometheus and my seventh most anticipated film of the year.

Granted, you could probably do an online poll and The Dark Knight Rises might win in a few sectors, but I don't think it is the definitive most anticipated film… is it?

A trio of character posters (via LatinoReview) for The Amazing Spider-Man have arrived online giving Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker (aka Spider-Man), Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy and Rhys Ifans as Dr. Connors (aka The Lizard) each a little personal face time.

Directed by Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer), The Amazing Spider-Man) is an attempt to reboot the franchise after Sam Raimi's trilogy of films ended with Spider-Man 3 in 2007. The film is set to hit theaters on July 3 and depending on your anticipation level, you may want to be on the look-out for an upcoming four-minute preview that will air during "America's Got Talent" on May 14.,
