Casting Rumors for the 'Enter the Dragon' Remake
Oh man, this is going to have fanatics up in arms
CoedMagazine is claiming to have some inside scoopage out of Warner Bros. as one of their writers claims to have a buddy who is doing an internship at the studio and got some leaked casting info out of the offices of the WB in regards to the recently announced remake of Enter the Dragon.
The film is said to be a "noir-style remake" of the 1973 martial arts classic that made Bruce Lee a global star, and while fans were intrigued at the different direction in far as style I think they all remained a bit hesitant.
Now, I will let you know that I have never heard of CoedMagazine, so I have no idea if this is legit, but this guy seemed pissed off enough that he had me thinking he actually heard the news. Here are the four names he rattled off in his own words (at least where I didn't use brackets to make it understandable):
Lee played by [Tony Jaa] (not bad, just not BL)
Roper played by Tom Cruise (ugh…just threw up in my mouth a little)
Williams played by 50 Cent (God have mercy, I wish I was kidding)
Ohara played by Jon Cena (WTF?!?!?!?!?!)
Now I personally don't see Tom Cruise as a possibility at all for that role so I would say you could throw that line out the window, but the rest of it oddly sounds like Hollywood casting as of late to me.
You have any thoughts on these names? Are you as disgusted as the original scooper?

That might somebody's idea of good casting, but to me it looks like a fanboys wishful thinking.
