Once again today's casting news is a little boring so we are going to do it consolidated style.

First off we learn that James Belushi will make his feature directorial debut on Lionsgate's The Catch, based on the life of Marty Reichman, who was on the verge of losing his job and his marriage when he decided to keep a promise to his father and return to college. He finds he's eligible to play ball and makes the team as tight end. Belushi will also star in the feature. [Variety]

Next we learn that Nicole Ari Parker, DeRay Davis and Ronny Cox will join the cast of Eddie Murphy's Nowhereland in which Murphy stars as a financial executive who can't stop his career down-spiral is invited into his daughter's imaginary world, where solutions to his problems await. Parker plays the separated wife of Murphy's character, Evan. She can't understand his fascination with their 6-year-old daughter's imaginary world, which Murphy explores to help solve his work problems. Davis plays Evan's longtime friend, a therapist who calls himself the Man Whisperer and believes that all Evan needs to overcome his troubles is a good cry. Cox plays the humorless capital fund group boss who suspects Evan of insider trading but doesn't care as long as he gets results. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Alica Braga is joining Jude Law and Forest Whitaker in Universal's Repossession Mambo, a futuristic thriller based on Eric Garcia's novel, following Remy (Law), a repo man made up of artificial organs, who receives a heart transplant. When he struggles to make the payments, he must go on the run from his former partner. Braga will play Beth, who married but lost touch with Remy while he was serving in the Army. Ten years later, Beth — down on her luck and retrofitted with artificial organs — is reunited with Remy as they seek to run.

Production is slated to begin Oct. 15 in Toronto under the direction of Miguel Sapochnik. [The Hollywood Reporter]
