Casey Prime for 'Assassination'
One Affleck brother finds work.
While Ben Affleck is out tending to several box-office bombs and his pregnant bride, Jennifer Garner, his little bro, Casey has just found a gig playing the infamous Robert Ford in Warner Bros.' adaptation of Robert Hansen novel "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford."
The casting will find Affleck starring opposite Brad Pitt who stars as the famed gunslinger James in the period oateroater. Ford is a youth who joined the James gang and went from idolizing to resenting the man known as the fastest gun in the West. He figured on making his reprep by gunning down James but shot his mentor in the back, stamping himself the most famous coward around.
Pitt's Plan B and Scott Brother's Scott Free will produce the picture with Andrew Dominik at the directorial helm. The film is expected to go by the shortened version of the book title, The Assassination of Jesse James.
