Casey Affleck Moves On to 'The Kind One'
New role for the Oscar nominee
Appropriately Casey Affleck was nominated for an Oscar for his role in The Assassination of Jesse James and he has now found his next role starring in the period noir drama The Kind One based on the just-published novel (Jan. 22) by Tom Epperson of which Epperson himself will adapt once the strike comes to an end.
The story is set in the 1930s Los Angeles and centers on an amnesiac (Affleck) who finds himself working for a mobster — a sadistic killer given the nickname "the Kind One" — and falling in love with the thug's girlfriend.
There is no word on a director for the project.
