Carell Gets 'Dumped' by Warner Bros.
This guy has got a lot on his plate
Steve Carell is set to star in Dumped, a feature film for Warner Bros. based on the novel by Andrew Gottlieb with Vic Levin (Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!) set to write the adaptation. In the film Carell will play a man searching for new meaning in his life after his wife abruptly files for divorce.
This is one of several films in the pipeline for Carell with Date Night already set up at Fox with Carell starring alongside Tina Fey for director Shawn Levy. In that film Fey and Carell will play a married couple who find their routine date night becomes much more than just dinner and a movie. Following that up will be Get Smart 2, which will get underway next spring for Warner Bros.
Another film in development for the actor is Hi-T in which he would play a man who begins taking testosterone injections after an injury leaves him deprived of the chemical, only to find his moods swing uncontrollably. Hi-T is being written by Kim Barker (License to Wed).
Busy guy.
