Cannes 2011 Photos: Bidding Farewell to France
Au revoir
Photo: Brad Brevet // RopeofSilicon.com
I will be stepping into a taxi in less than one hour and heading to the Nice airport for nearly 24 hours of travel back to Seattle as my time here at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival is complete. I will be posting a proper wrap-up to the festival once the Palme d'Or is announced this Sunday, but for now I thought I would share the last batch of photos I had, on the heels of posting my final review.
These are basically images from around Cannes that I saw on a daily basis walking back-and-forth from my apartment to the Palais. I wouldn't say any of them are necessarily extraordinary, and I am still upset I didn't get a shot of any one of my several espressos, but I guess we can't win 'em all.
I hope you've enjoyed my coverage and that you like a few of these images.

Sssswwwweeeeeetttt!
What camera did you use to take these lovely images?
Just a puny Kodak camera, this one in fact. The zoom is awful, I want to buy a good camera one of these days. There were some shots of the moon while I was over there that would have been amazing, but I couldn't get a good picture to show you guys.
Beautiful pictures. I especially enjoyed the condom dispenser.
Next stop, Comic Con?
Nope, Comic Con costs too much money and all you do is wait in line and watch trailers. Next for me is the Toronto Film Festival in September.
Decent
So it's expensive for you to go to Comic Con, two states from you, but not expensive for you to go to France for two weeks?
One is expensive and worth it, the other is expensive and not. And don't go thinking it's cheap to go to San Diego during Comic Con, because it's not. Most importantly, I can cover Comic Con without even going. Post a trailer, post a picture and you're done.
