Burns Puts on '27 Dresses' with Heigl
New comedy cast is rounding out
Ed Burns, along with Sam Rockwell, are a couple of actors that are underused, and it is beginning to seem like even when Burns is used it is such a small bit part that it isn't exactly taking advantage of his talent. However, now that Rockwell has been cast in the feature film adaptation of Chuck Palahniuk's "Choke" I am happy again, but with Burns it is a different story.
Ever since Confidence Burns has either found himself in rom-coms or terrible sci-fi features such as A Sound of Thunder. Personally I am some what interested in seeing his little late summer thriller One Missed Call but I am not expecting much. As for his next part it will be the Anne Fletcher comedy 27 Dresses alongside Katherine Heigl.
The story finds Heigl playing a perennial bridesmaid who, after planning many weddings for friends, is drafted by her sister, who's marrying the man with whom the bridesmaid is in love. Burns plays the groom. Also included in the cast are James Marsden and Malin Akerman.
The film begins shooting this summer.
