'Brokeback Mountain' Hits DVD on April 4th
The Oscar-winner will soon come home
Despite Annie Proulx's rants some people still respect the Oscar-winning feature Brokeback Mountain, and today Universal Pictures announced the hit film will be coming to DVD on April 4th.
Academy Award® nominees Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal star in Brokeback Mountain, a self-described sweeping epic of two men who forge an intense, secretive bond. Oscar-winner Ang Lee directed the feature from Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossana's script, which was based on Annie Proulx's short story.
As far as special features are concerned none were announced beyong the fact that the film will have English and French Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround; English SDH; French and Spanish Subtitles and will be offered in 1.85:1 (Anamorphic Widescreen) and 1.33:1 (Full Frame). My guess is that this film will get a similar treatment to that of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, another Focus Features DVD, which saw a special edition release following its initial DVD street date.
Nevertheless, the DVD is now ready to pre-order over at Amazon.com, so click here to reserve yours.
