Well, another young actor has passed away as Brittany Murphy died of a heart attack today at the age of 32. TMZ reports Murphy went into full cardiac arrest early Sunday and could not be revived.

The site reports a 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack. Apparently Murphy's mom discovered her unconscious in the shower. The paramedics arrived, quickly determined Murphy was in full cardiac arrest and immediately administered CPR. They continued CPR in route to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center — several miles away — and Murphy was unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Sources at The Hollywood Reporter have since confirmed the reports.

I first remember Murphy as Tai in Clueless in 1995 and more recently she voiced Gloria in Happy Feet and played Shellie in Sin City. IMDb lists three films for the actress in post-production including a small role in Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables.

Murphy just turned 32 this past November 10.

    That's crazy and unexpected.

  2. One would think that after all those sudden celebrity deaths you won't get so shocked when you read about another one, but you still read it and can't believe it… Jesus. I've only seen Sin City with her, and I'm deeply saddened by these news. My prayers to her family.

That's terrible news, always thought she was underrated as an actress. Her family will be in my prayers.

@Nick: @Nick: I agree. I just got home, jumped to the site, and saw the Breaking News banner. I was truly shocked. With most celebrity deaths, they are older or have been sick for awhile and are still sad. But these kinds of deaths catch you completely off guard. I loved her in Sin City, and have been meaning to see Girl, Interrupted. RIP Brittany, my prayers will be with you and your family.

God, I still can't believe this! So freaky and bizarre. There is no way I will be able to watch Girl, Interrupted ever again.

She also voiced the character "Luanne Platter" on the hit animated series "King of the Hill" for 13 seasons (255 episodes).

    RIP

I'll be honest, I never really cared about her, didnt found her a very appealing actress, never stood out in any of her movies. Regardless to that, it's always sad when someone dies so young. If it's a shock to the fans, can you believe what it must be like to her family?

And dying of a heart attack so young? Even more shocking. That's really sad.
