Brett Ratner. Eddie Murphy. Remake. Disaster.
This is just taking things too far
Brett Ratner is apparently in negotiations to helm a remake of The Incredible Shrinking Man with Eddie Murphy set to star for Universal Pictures.
The original film debuted in 1957 based on the best-selling novel. The new film will apparently take a comedic approach to the fantastical material, telling the story of a famous Las Vegas magician who is put under a spell that causes him to shrink. He must find a way to reverse the spell before he gets so small that he "disappears."
"Reno 911" vets Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant penned the most recent draft of the screenplay. Ratner is the third director attached to the project following Pete Segal and Keenen Ivory Wayans.
Without any additional commentary I can only ask: Does anyone want to see this film actually get made?

You know to be Honest….NO I don't want to see this Crap. I admit If Keenen Ivory Wayans was attached I would go… I think him and Eddie Murphy teaming could be really over the top and funny (I'm going to an extreme here).. But Ratner & Murphy , Skip it move on… Like Meet Dave doesn't already remind me of PLuto Nash (I actually went to the theatre to see it) Check the box office totals I think I was the only one EVER (will never make that mistake with an Eddie Murphy Film again)
