BREAKING: 'Watchmen' Lawsuit Settled
We can now all move on...
The Hollywood Reporter brings word the lawsuit between Warner Bros. and 20th Century Fox over film rights to the March 6 release of Watchmen, the adaptation of the acclaimed graphic novel, has been resolved. The two studios are scheduled to present the settlement to Judge Gary Feess on Friday morning and request that the case be dismissed.
The terms of the settlement are not to be disclosed but THR says "it is said to involve a sizable cash payment to Fox and a percentage of the film's boxoffice. Fox will not be a co-distributor on the film, nor will it own a piece of the 'Watchmen' property going forward. The studios are set to release a joint statement announcing the agreement Friday."

Damn. I was hoping Fox would win and destroy the movie by order reshoots, and removing the core of the story to make a special effect driven spectacle… Oh well. ;)
03.06.09!
Whoo~~
Now I can see Avatar and Wolverine.
I thought he second trailer made this look a bit tacky, I think its more likely you'll be disappointed than me pleasantly surprised. But then again what do I know I love Club Dread lol Big year for us fan boys eh? T4, ST, Av, Wm, T2.
good, but i still hate fox now!
I just all of you are not getting your hopes up, thinking this is going to be "Citizen Kane" of comics. Knowing very little about the comic, it's a strange story by a directer with two major movies to his credit. Hey, someone has to be the downer here, and I will play the part.
Thank goodness.
