Brand New 'Scream 4' Theatrical Trailer and a New Pic
Ready to 'scream' again?

I had to remove an international trailer from the site recently, but tonight Apple has just debuted a brand new trailer for Scream 4 and at the same time Dimension Films sent over the above image giving you a look at once happy couple David Arquette and Courteney Cox in the film.
What was most interesting about my previous post was the argument over Scream 3. I wonder, how would you rank the three previous Scream films and are you excited for this one?
Here's the official synopsis:
In Scream 4, Sidney Prescott, now the author of a self-help book, returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey and Gale, who are now married, as well as her cousin Jill (played by Emma Roberts) and her Aunt Kate (Mary McDonnell). Unfortunately Sidney’s appearance also brings about the return of Ghostface, putting Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, along with Jill, her friends, and the whole town of Woodsboro in danger.
The newest installment in the acclaimed franchise that ushered in a new wave of horror in the 1990s is written by series creator Kevin Williamson and directed by suspense master and director of the first trilogy, Wes Craven.
Scream 4 hits theaters on April 15 and stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox-Arquette, David Arquette, Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin, Anthony Anderson, Adam Brody, Mary McDonnell, Marley Shelton, Nico Tortorella, Marielle Jaffe, Kristen Bell, Anna Paquin, Lucy Hale, Shanae Grimes, Aimee Teegarden and Brittany Robertson.

Here's hoping you can keep the trailer this time
Great. They took a very intriguing series and pop cultured it. I mean, did they really need to reference every single horror remake?
Okay, could they have given away more of the movie? I think they showed every single death.
Unrelated- Brad, would you be willing to make a quick list of blockbusters coming in 2012 because i think its getting rediculous and id like to see a compilation of them, i know its early…but come on!
Already working on it, just waiting for the right time to write it up and post it. It's a hard one to do since it's only January 2011 and it just feels weird talking about 2012 already, but I think I figured out an angle… Sooooo… I'll have something soon. :)
Pretty fun trailer; I've got my fingers crossed that this will be good.
In response to Brad's query, I'd rank the films Scream 1, Scream 2 then Scream 3, though I think the first two are more or less in the same quality bracket and are both great films. The third one was more of a standard slasher flick – average.
Damn, this looks so bad………………………… I stand by my original statement that Scary Movie was the best Scream.
True story: I nearly passed out from laughing so hard at the sex scene in the original Scary Movie.
Personally, I rank the first three in the order they were made, but I find Scream 2 to be one of the 'closest to the first' damn good sequels there are amongst the slasher genre.
I think Scream 3 took the comedy component too far, and attempting to link all three films together didn't work even though I get that was 'the point' in relation to the progression of franchises (hey, even Spider-Man 3 copped to the rule about finding out something from the first film we didn't know about!! But it lacked the great set-pieces of the first two films (the Drew Barrymore sequence in 1, or the daylight campus sequence in 2) and just didn't get into high gear.
That said, I'm looking forward to this new film (though I expect one of the veterans to be killed off this time) and hope it's more like 1 and 2 than 3. True, there's a bit of a 3 vibe coming off it in the trailer, but I'm still lining up to see what it offers
In my opinion, the trailer doesn't really feel like a scream movie, although I think it looks absolutely brilliant, and a trailer never does these films justice. In the early reviews from the screenings everyone said it was the best of the sequels and right in line with the first installment. My expectations are high for this film. Hopefully I won't be dissapointed. I would like to see an official rating and runtime though, because I know there are 2 new posters coming out in a week or so.
