Brad Pitt Potentially Starring in Amazon Adventure Flick
This would be a nice change of pace
When I take a peek at some of my favorite films Brad Pitt's name appears in more than one of them including Seven, Fight Club, Ocean's Eleven, Snatch and Spy Game. I don't think I have some sort of a man crush on Pitt, but for some reason I simply love his films. It now appears as if Pitt may be taking a role that offers a serious change of pace for the actor, an action-adventure script that will send the lead into the Amazon in search of a lost city.
The pic has been snatched up by Paramount Pictures with Pitt producing through his Plan B house as a potential starring vehicle.
The film is titled Lost City of Z and is based on David Grann's manuscript about the search for a lost city in the Amazon. The non-fiction book concerns British explorer Col. Percy Harrison Fawcett, who was attempting to find the so-called City of Z when he and his party disappeared in 1925. Over the next 70 years, scores of explorers tried and failed to retrace Fawcett's path, including a 1996 expedition of Brazilian adventurers. Pitt would play Fawcett.
Doubleday is expected to publish "Lost City of Z", which is an expansion on Grann's September 2005 article in the New Yorker, which you can read here.
Personally I would love to see Pitt in an action adventure flick. It's a far better choice than casting Matthew McConaughey* who would demand he had his shirt off for at least 50% of the film and the other percent he would be making up his own language.
*First time I spelled that last name correctly without peeking.

i hope he ends up fighting big tranchulas and snakes,and crocs things like that.we need some good ones like that.
