'Brad 'n' Laremy on Movies' Podcast: 'Terra Nova,' 'The Avengers' and What's the Big Deal with 'Take Shelter'?
Plus talk of '50/50', 'What's Your Number?' and the week's biggest stories
This is more like it, a manageable 42-minute podcast where we blow through about 15 different topics or so, hopefully leaving you wanting more.
We begin talking about Fox's new TV show "Terra Nova", move into discussing those new photos of The Avengers cast, the Bond 23 rumors and the new Mortal Kombat movie that's in the works before discussing this this week's new releases, specifically What's Your Number?, 50/50 and a spoiler filled discussion on Take Shelter or which Laremy and I appear to be the only ones that don't consider this film a masterpiece.
We then close things down with a few brief comments on Tucker & Dale vs. Evil and Courageous, some box-office chatter and comment on the chances The Artist and Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close may have in the Best Picture race. We get sidetracked here and there, but for the most part that's the gist of it all.

Love the podcast, but if you keep bringing it up, I'll keep reiterating that Quantum is one of the weakest Bonds. The aping of the Bourne style is only one of it's problems.

Wow, I didn't think I would cause such a stir.
I really do enjoy the podcast and the site, though, and I actually really enjoyed getting called out and having it become a recurring theme, because that was the first time that had ever happened to me.
Films such as Take Shelter and Rise of the Apes, in which you had the "us vs. The World" thing going on, was the main thing that stood out to me and prompted me to post this.

Honestly, I liked "Terra Nova". Yeah, aside from Stephen Lang and Jason O'Mara, the acting is pretty horrendous. But, Lang and O'Mara are so good, and the story has a lot of potential. I think the show is AMAZING, aside from a few minor issues, mainly the acting.
I think you do need the 3D hook for these re-releases. It makes some people more interested, and the very question of whether people might be interested in the 3D version adds to the publicity. Without the 3D story, a newspaper's comment about the re-release might be only one sentence.
Terra Nova did started off pretty slow i havent even finished the first episode yet but i will. The thing is its a series sometimes series start off slow and get better. If you want to write about a good series write about Sons of Anarchy, i never expected to get into that series but ive flown through the first 3 series in the past couple weeks and ive enjoyed almost every episode. Also about Lost your so true after every episode i felt more and more lost about where it was going. Lmao and about the avengers photos yeah, but it is still probaly my most anticipated movie as of right now and i have faith Marvel will put everything they got into this movie since it is going to be there biggest movie milestone to date.
