'Brad 'n' Laremy on Movies' Podcast #8: Winnie the Pooh and the End of Harry Potter
Have you seen my childhood?
When a ten-year-old franchise comes to an end you know it's going to be part of the conversation, so, yes, we talk about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 in this week's episode as well as look back at the franchise on a whole. We also discuss the idea of a film "taking us back to our childhood" as we head into our discussion of Winnie the Pooh.
And finally we take a closer examination of the idea Bill was trying to convey in his "Do Superhero Franchises Always Have to Begin With Origin Stories?" post earlier this week by taking a look at the differences between origin stories and a film supplying backstory. We take a look at examples of films that have done it right, some that have done it wrong and try to figure out just what exactly may the best way for these kinds of superhero franchises to advance in the future.
I would also like to mention that Laremy's audio on this one, and a little bit in last week's, is a bit wishy-washy at times and hopefully we will get that taken care of by next week's episode. But with that said I hope you enjoy this week's, we kept it just a shade under 35 minutes and hopefully you'll find it entertaining.

Neat, that one played all the way through.
I enjoyed listening to that. On Sherlock Holmes 2, I'm also sure I read somewhere that McAdams had confirmed she has shot a role in the film but that it was essentially just a cameo and that she would not be in the film a lot.
This was the first podcast of yours that I listened to and it was really good. You two are really funny together, which is something that doesn't play out in writing reviews often. I will definately be listening again.
Thanks for the comment Cody, glad you enjoyed it and glad you're listening!
Without wanting to sound obsequious, I too enjoy these podcasts. Keep it up.
