Shrek hasn't ever faced opening weekend competition. Weird.

#1 movie predicted correctly: Two weeks in a row
Is there buzz on this movie? It's hard to tell. The first version is one of the few movies that I've seen make more cash on the second weekend. Now that's word of mouth! As for this one, I think it opens a little lower than the sequel.
Estimate: $102.5 million
The slide has to stop at some point, right? Charles Barkley can't have that much pull can he? That's two too many questions, but here's a statement: Spidey will not drop 60 percent again. It's mathematically improbable.
Estimate: $34.0 million
The original took in $6m at less theaters but I get the sense that this one is a smidge weaker. It's all senses and gut feelings around here.
Estimate: $5.3 million
How long can you be interesting to only gossip columnists before the general public loses faith in you? If there is a limit Lohan is coming dangerously close to it. Or maybe she's just gearing up for a comeback before she's even hit 22.
Estimate: $3.3 million
Never has a film done so much with so little.
Estimate: $3.1 million
The bottom eight movies are soft like a pillow factory. There are no monies to be had for these little bottom feeders, like algae on the bottom of the deep dark ocean. If indeed algae grows down there, I don't know, I'm not a marine biologist.
Estimate: $2.2 million
I sort of think homeland security is just picking off this audience as they walk in. I mean, there wouldn't be any witnesses. Who would notice if these people had been shipped off to prisons?
Estimate: $1.5 million
I'm not sure why anyone would still care about The Invisible. My friend and I were wondering the other day how one single person buys a ticket to this, much less the thousands that will. I think there is a secret cult of people who watch any movie a month after it's been released.
Estimate: $1.4 million
I keep telling people to see it, they keep sort of listening. Trust me, being "sort of listened to" is a far step up from what I used to be, "completely ignored."
Estimate: $1.2 million
Welcome to the Laremy lounge. You read that right, 800k gets you the ten slot. Don't you feel like you and a couple of buddies could make a film that grossed 800k? That's one out of every 3000 Americans buying a ticket. How hard could it be? Just film B-Luv on one of his crazy rants and you're there. Maybe throw in a female lead (Dre) and you'd clear a million easy.
Estimate: $.8 million
