Box-Office Oracle: Jul. 6 – Jul. 8

It's difficult to get a bead on this one. Is that crazy Tuesday number all the true fans? Or is it indicative of the masses wanting to see this one something fierce? I could be off by $20m either way here. Not fun. For the record the movie is crazy disappointing, not a serious Transformers film in the slightest.

Estimate: $72.1 million

As I'm the only critic in the free world who didn't adore this perhaps I'm not the ideal person to project it. I have it slowing down after taking advantage of parents having the day off.

Estimate: $25.6 million

I've seen it twice now, and while it wasn't as good the second time I still can't help but be relieved. This is the first sequel in forever to add to the franchise. For that I reward it with $17.7m dollars.

Estimate: $17.7 million

This one could go either way too. I sense that people hate Robin Williams now, due to RV, but this is a rom-com and it's been a few weeks since people have had the chance to guzzle one of those.

Estimate: $10.6 million

Contractually I shouldn't even have to talk about this one anymore.

Estimate: $6.9 million

Okay, I'll admit it, I see Harry Potter in less than three hours and that's all I can think about. I see this one finishing in sixth, just like it did on Monday. No other thoughts besides that. Hogwarts!

Estimate: $5.7 million

He came, he saw, he rose. But now that everyone has seen it who is with me on a Silver Surfer spin-off? It seems like it would be way better than F4 because again, and this is a lesson for all comic book filmmakers, they take the character seriously.

Estimate: $4.1 million

I can't see this playing well in the Middle East. Don't hate, I'm just saying.

Estimate: $3.5 million

I think it will be at least a decade until we see a 14, if at all. And someone will hold out too. Probably Pitt, he'll be off saving the world.

Estimate: $3.2 million

Will this movie ever make it to middle America, where it can be seen by the people the health care system screws over? Probably not… MM is preaching to the converted again.
