I responded on Steve Mason's article @ Bighollywood which was what I would've said here, but Laremy's on it this weekend, and there's not much else to be said, honestly. Just that remember, movies like "Fight Club" and "Blade Runner" failed at the box office, and they're all welcomed warmly today. Just my two cents on that. So next weekend, huh? It's not looking good IMO. "Knowing" just seems like "Next" again, so I don't really see it doing so strongly. "Duplicity"...Julia Roberts hasn't had a bonafide hit in years (specifically where she was the headlining star: the Ocean's Movies did alright, but that wasn't because of her), Clive Owen isn't a box-office superstar either, and the crime comedy film always fails. Always. Even Jim Carrey's "Fun With Dick and Jane" wasn't really a success when you take the budget into account. "I Love You Man" has the most potential, but it isn't having the hype that "Role Models" and "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" had when they opened. But who knows. I really enjoyed "Taken," and I'm glad to see an action movie that's holding like it was released in the 80's. I'm going to be watching "Watchmen" again tonight, by the way, so I'll be part of that $18 million. This means that I will have given 33% of my business to Watchmen on opening weekend.
