Bond Drinks Heineken, a New Bond Girl and Craig Will Play 007 Until He's Asked to Stop

Tonia Sotiropoulou will be one of the new Bond Girls in Skyfall

Greek actress Tonia Sotiropoulou, revealed on her Facebook page (via MI6 HQ) she has a small role in the upcoming James Bond film, Skyfall posting on her wall:

"Dear friends I officially announce I got a part in J. Bond new film!!! Turkey here I come! Thank u all for you love and support! This is officially the happiest day of my life bitches!!!!”

Now that's a press release. Sotiropoulou will start filming on April 22 on location in Istanbul, Turkey, where she will shoot two or three scenes over five days. She joins the film's already cast lovely ladies, Berenice Marlohe and Naomie Harris. Watch video of those two here.

And now for a couple of rapid fire tidbits before ending with a quote and a video...

Oh, and Bond will apparently drink a Heineken instead of a martini in Skyfall. Product placement wins again, but personally, who really cares on this one? The obvious joke here is, "I hope he doesn't ask for it shaken." Hardy har, har, har! [source]

Nope, still not done yet as the BBC offers the following video that features some behind-the-scenes looks at the film as well as Daniel Craig saying he'll continue playing James Bond until someone tells him to stop and as for this new film:

"We haven't been resting on our laurels, we've been plotting what to do with this film... The first one was a new experience and flew by, the second one was the tricky second album, but this one we've really planned and got a great script. It's going to be different from the last one, but it will still be a great Bond movie. [We're] going to put on a good show."

Are you happy to see Craig as Bond for a while or would you prefer they continue to shake things up with new actors on a more regular basis?

Remember, as I pointed out yesterday, Roger Moore had the longest running stint as Bond with seven films, followed by Sean Connery with six. Skyfall will mark Craig's third outing as 007, are you ready to see him continue the franchise for upwards of four more?

Skyfall hits theaters on November 9. For more on the film I dare you to click here.

I like Craig, but I really wanted to see Clive Owen take on the role.

I enjoy Craig as Bond so I'm fine with him sticking in the role. I can't think of anyone else I'd like to take over anyway.

I'm not overly taken with his version of Bond or the films themselves so far but I think they will have to perhaps accelerate production of them if he was inclined to make the most appearances. He's not getting younger.

Though certainly I can't think of anyone presently who could assume the part.

But I think it's notable that the product placement machine has now infiltrated Bond's iconic drink and (perhaps) relegated it a bit. I guess it depends on how he has it in the film. I thought Bond films were supposed to have classy product placement.

I've never really been a fan of the Bond movies since the reboot. I always remember reading in one of those booklets that came with the dvd sets that Ian Fleming said Connery played JB like too much of a thug, Craig's Bond isn't exactly LESS thugish.

As for the Heinekin, well it's the third movie and i'm getting a little tired of them "breaking the Bond mould".

Wasn't Austin Powers featured in Heineken ads when The Spy Who Shagged Me came out?

Michael Fassbender would make a great Bond.

I'm just glad Pierce Brosnan is gone.

Daniel Craig is the perfect Bond. He doesn't let his emotions get the best of him and doesn't rely on gadgits as much as sheer strength. He relates a lot to the Bond from the Fleming books.

I do agree that Fassbender would be a great fit as well. He's got the charisma and proved that he can be rugged like he was in Haywire.

Hoping Capri-Sun will fork over the money to replace Heinekin. Bond points his PPK at the bad guy. Squeezes a long sip from his Kiwi Madness pouch. Fires.
