Blunt has a New 'Young' Friend
Rupert set to star as Prince Albert
Pretty soon we are going to see the true abilities of actress Emily Blunt who received kudos for her small turn in The Devil Wears Prada. Next up for Blunt is The Jane Austen Club followed by a turn as Queen Victoria in The Young Victoria, which Rupert Friend has just joined the cast as Prince Albert.
The historical drama will test both actors as it follows the romance and marriage of Queen Victoria (Blunt) to her first cousin Albert during her tumultuous 19th-century British reign. Julian Fellowes penned the screenplay while Jean-Marc Vallee will direct.
Friend last starred in Pride & Prejudice with Keira Knightley and ultimately ended up dating the young starlett. He will next be seen in The Last Legion along with Colin Firth and Ben Kingsley.
