The Robert Israel soundtrack is out of sync from the picture. It is about 2 seconds late. Watch when Keaton gets thrown off the bike, or hit in the head. The musical sound-effect does not match the picture.

I don't have a Blu-ray player but would like one just to see this version of The General. Where can I buy the movie?

i recently made a silent short film with heavy incfluences from this film as well as about a dozen Chaplin titles. i cant understand why audiences cant appreciate these works. City Lights is the one that really altered my opinion of silents and Chaplin. it is genius. i was laughing all the way until the final scene which brought me close to tears.
