It’s Official… Obama Takes South Carolina in a 28% Rout
Did you see what Barack Obama did in South Carolina? He destroyed. With 99% of the precincts reporting Obama has taken 295,091 of the votes when last year only 293,000 people even voted!
He just gave his thank you speech and there were several things to enjoy but a couple of things stuck out for me, first of all being when he said, "You aren't allowed to say a Republican had an idea, even if it is one you didn't agree with." An obvious swipe at Bill and Hillary Clinton.
The second item was more of an emotional one when he said a woman sent a money order of $3.01 along with a piece of scripture to donate toward his campaign. He followed that by saying we can all make a change. A rather emotional point, but it seems Obama's words seem to be uniting a country.
You also have Hillary Clinton's speedy departure from the state with a rather generic written statement (she's in Nashville now and expected to give an actual speech soon). You also have Bill Clinton comparing the win to Jesse Jackson, a swipe the media is already bashing as a sign of keeping this election along racial lines.
