Bikinis in 3-D as BAYWATCH Makes Ready for the Big Screen
StereoVision Entertainment, Inc. (OTCBB: SVSN) announced today that an agreement has been signed that makes StereoVision an equal partner with Baywatch creators Michael Berk, Douglas Schwartz and Gregory Bonann, and FremantleMedia, the joint Baywatch rights-holders, in the development and production of a major 3-D motion picture entitled, "Baywatch 3-Double-D".
StereoVision's Chief Executive Officer, Jack Honour, stated, "Being involved with this Baywatch 3-D movie is the culmination of years of effort by the StereoVision founders, directors and shareholders. When StereoVision went public five years ago, the primary intention and determination was to produce premiere, high profile, special venue entertainment. Our production and distribution of 3-D Pay-Per-View events with the WOW-Women Of Wrestling League, and our involvement with this Baywatch movie puts StereoVision on track to attain these original goals. Our confident commitment to finance the development of "Baywatch 3-Double-D" is based on the tremendous success of StereoVision's hit 3-D film, "The Stewardesses", which was one of the most profitable films of all time, and the fact that according to the Guinness Book of World Records, "Baywatch" is the most popular television series of all time, with a global audience of over a billion viewers a week in 144 countries, and translated into 23 languages."
Baywatch co-creator Douglas Schwartz stated, "We are thrilled to be in business with the pioneer of 3-D entertainment, StereoVision. Together we intend to make "Baywatch 3-Double-D" the same kind of global phenomenon as a feature film that "Baywatch" was as a television series. By combining creative Baywatch action, comedy and sex appeal in a state-of-the-art 3-D motion picture, we are confident that we will capture a massive, worldwide audience."
"Baywatch 3-Double-D" is being packaged by David Styne at CAA, and produced by Berk, Schwartz, Bonann, Michele Berk and Steve Schklair, and is looking to a Summer 2005 release. There is currently no cast or crew information available.
