HBO has finally debuted a full Behind the Candelabra trailer, giving you the best look at the upcoming film from director Steven Soderbergh yet. Expectation is this will play at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival in advance of its Sunday, May 26 premiere on HBO at 9PM.

Starring Michael Douglas as Liberace, the film tells the story of his secret, five-year love affair with Scott Thorson (Matt Damon).

Along with Damon and Douglas the film co-stars Rob Lowe as Dr. Jack Startz, Paul Reiser as Mr. Felder, Dan Aykroyd as Seymour Heller, Scott Bakula as Bob Black and Debbie Reynolds as Frances.

Check out the full Behind the Candelabra trailer below and hopefully I'll have a review for you from the Croisette.

Ok this looks fabulous, wasn't big on Magic Mike but he's a really fascinating director. I get HBO until Game of Thrones ends so I'm looking forward to seeing this.

For a man about to retire from film, Steven Soderbergh sure does seem to be creating some great work as of late. Contagion, Magic Mike, Side Effects and now Candelabra (although, only the trailer looks great as of today); why is he retiring again?
