It was being rumored for a couple days, and now it is confirmed, Michael Bay is looking to direct the live-action/CGI Transformer film for DreamWorks and Paramount. Not much of a confirmation huh?

The picture is already scheduled for a 2006 release, sometime near Thanksgiving, with shooting expected to begin this fall.

With Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci brought on board to toy with the original script from John Rogers the revised words were brought to Bay and he quickly sparked to the idea.

While Bay's involvement is simply interest the script is expected to be turned in within a month, at which time DreamWorks will hope to lock Bay down for directorial duties.
