Bateman and Janney Join Reitman's 'Juno'
New comedy taps perfect duo
If Jason Reitman's next flick Juno is anything like his first, Thank You for Smoking, then he has added two great names to his cast in Jason Bateman and Allison Janney. No matter what you think of 10 Things I Hate about You, when Janney is talking to Julia Stiles and looks at her coffee mug and says, "Cat!" that is funny shit. But let's get out of my jumbled and messed up head and move on.
Juno is a comedy starring Ellen Page (Hard Candy) as an offbeat young woman who is faced with an unplanned pregnancy and makes an unusual and bizarre decision regarding her unborn child. What the decision is we do not know. Jennifer Garner and Michael Cera also star.
Fox Searchlight will release the pic late this year or 2008. Production is underway just north of me in Vancouver.
