Baker, Lathan on for '42.4 Percent'
Interracial love story gets its cast.
Focus Features has set Simon Baker and Sanaa Lathan in the starring roles for their upcoming film 42.4 Percent, and interracial love story that finds Lathan playing an African-American professional who's well aware that 42.4% of her race never gets married. Determined to find love, she falls for a white landscaper.
On for helming duties is first time feature film director Sanaa Hamri, who actually directed Prince's music DVD "Prince Live at the Aladdin Las Vegas."
The film was scripted by Kriss Turner and is set to begin production in February.
