Bill Cody
Bill Cody is a writer/producer living in Los Angeles, CA. He has written and produced the feature film Slaves To The Underground that was selected for the opening night screening at the 1997 Berlin Film Festival and was also selected for the Grand Jury Prize competition at Sundance Film Festival the same year. He also produced several critically acclaimed music documentaries including the seminal film Athens, GA/Inside-Out, about the art and music scene in Athens, GA and two-headed cow, a film about North Carolina based musician Dexter Romweber, featuring Jack White, Neko Case and Chan Marshall. He was also a longtime assistant to director John Milius and producer Buzz Feitshans. In the summer of 2007, Bill went to Iraq and taught a film workshop with students from all over Iraq and six of the films that were produced by the workshop were selected to play as a program at the 2008 Rotterdam Film Festival. His article about the experience titled Shooting In Iraq was a featured story in the Seattle Stranger later that year.
