Astin and Boothe Start 'The Final Season'
Duo tapped for sports indie
Sean Astin and Powers Boothe are set to star in the sports flick The Final Season.
The pic is based on the true story of the Norway, Iowa, high school baseball team that overcame daunting odds to become a powerhouse in the sport for more than two decades.
Producer Michael Wasserman of Fobia Films told The Hollywood Reporter, "The struggle to succeed tied into America's greatest Heartland pastime… Having Powers and Sean headlining our film is just incredible."
