Zac Efron Now Confirmed as Oscar Presenter

The tween crowd is now satisfied...

It is shocking to think people would tune into the Oscars just to see a couple of twenty-something males walk on stage and talk, but the Academy of Arts and Sciences is certainly banking on just that as yesterday word was announced Twilight star Robert Pattinson would be presenting and today E! announces High School Musical star Zac Efron will also be making his way on stage and will present Best Original Song.

Speculation has respective co-stars Kristen Stewart and Vanessa Hudgens as the likely co-presenters, but there is no confirmation on that front.

The E! article continues down the track that spells doom for the show in my opinion by saying Miley Cyrus will also be in attendance to support Bolt (no problem there) but then wonders if he "underwear model-actor boyfriend, Justin Gaston, will be her date for the evening." Ahhhh… weren't we all awaiting the day the Oscars would snub the most popular movie of the year only to attract 14-year-old girls with tween stars and underwear models? Glorious!

Zefron is the only reason I will be watching the Oscars. IDC if he is a tween star he is an effin hottie.

I agree with Annie. I will be sure to tune in to see the king of hotness, Zac. He is so sexy. But, I kind of hope that it isn't true about Vanessa being his co-presenter. That would ruin things for me.

I agree with you. This is beyond pathetic. It's MTV league…really stupid stuff. We will soon find out that Britney Spears will present best film editing. Then all will go dark and the world will explode minutes later.

wow this is going to suck. lol The oscars are supposed to have people with actuall acting talent.. Within that paragraph above i didnt see anyone with such thing.

I heard that Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens will be performing a musical number w/ Hugh Jackman, Beyonce and some other people. I wonder if they will perform and present, b/c I think they should only do one or the other.

I can’t wait to see Zac at the Oscars! I wasn’t going to watch, but if he’s going to perform, I’ll have my eyes glued to the TV. I love Can I Have This Dance and totally agree with the EverHype (www.everhype.com/?utm_source=bc) review that gave it 4.25 stars and called it “Fantastic.” Is he presenting as well, or just performing?
