Your 2009 Oscar Predictions are In!

Will these be the winners?

Over the past few days RopeofSilicon visitors have voted for who they believe will win at the Oscars tonight and the polls have been closed and it looks like Slumdog Millionaire remains the big front-runner taking Best Picture, Director, Adapted Screenplay, Film Editing, Cinematography, Original Score and Original Song for "Jai Ho".

For the hotly contested categories Rope users pick Mickey Rourke to top Sean Penn and Kate Winslet to edge out the field for Best Actress. The other big question mark is in the Best Supporting Actress category and Rope users have gone with category favorite with Penelope Cruz taking 49.0% of the vote with Viola Davis and Amy Adams coming in second and third respectively.

Locks for wins appear to be Heath Ledger in Supporting Actor taking 88.0% of the vote, WALL•E takes 92.0% of the vote for Animated Feature and Man on Wire is the clear favorite for Best Documentary with 86.0% of the vote.

As much as I liked the Israeli Waltz with Bashir, in the end it didn't won the Oscar for the best foreign language film? The japanese film Departures took it. So theres a small misprint in your list.
I haven't yet seen the Departures, but Waltz was absolutely an Oscar worthy film!
