Someone may just be pulling the leg of the boys at Latino Review, but I think this is 100-percent legit as they have received a description of how Crank 2: High Voltage (you know that Linkin Park song will be featured right) begins and how exactly Chev Chelios (Jason Statham) becomes the proud owner of an electric heart (pictured right).

The report goes on to say:

Chev awakens MID SURGERY strapped down on an operating table. He can’t move or speak. His chest is split open! [...]

Chev has been outfitted with an ABIOCOR TOTAL ARTIFICIAL HEART. It has an internal battery that will pick up once the battery belt dies. It’s like a reserve tank but only good for one hour.

It is a bit spoilery but I don't think story details are the key to the Crank franchise as much as sex in the streets and lots of violence are. Not a problem if you ask me.
