Yet Another 'Wanted' Trailer

This is why online movie promotion sucks

Well, Universal has unleashed yet another trailer for Wanted as if the several others weren't enough. It's just one more example of movie studios promoting films for only one audience; the fanboys.

Where the hell is the English version trailer for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, the trailer for Frost/Nixon, the trailer for The Road, a trailer for Revolutionary Road, a trailer for The Changeling, a trailer for Milk, a trailer for Body of Lies or a trailer for RocknRolla? Basically, how about trailer for good movies as opposed to the eighth trailer for Wanted or the thirteenth trailer for Incredible Hulk?

Why is it that only one audience is served online?

Nevertheless, we will take what we can get, and what you get right now is the new Wanted trailer. Watch it here in high definition.

Wall-E also is guilty of advertising overkill.

Anyway, Loved this trailer. Especially the train sequence.

Brad, why do you rail against it and then post it anyway. Stand by your convictions.

Well, it's my opinion, but I am not out to deprive those that may want to watch it. I don't think it is against my convictions to give people the opportunity to watch it should they want to. Just because I believe something doesn't mean everyone does.

Also, I am not necessarily "railing" against the trailer as much as I am wishing studios would trust that the online community is not only made up of rabid fanboys and that there just may be an audience for the under served films as well.

I understand your point. I agree that instead of putting tons of trailers out for one movie, studios should give us, at least, teasers for some of the more "serious" fare. On that note, do you know when the english hd version of the benjamin button trailer is going to be released? I thought it was sometime towards the end of last week.

I have no idea, I wish I did. I keep checking the official site to see if it will be quietly unveiled and I haven't heard anything from the studios even though the trailer is in theaters. Rest assured, one I know it will be featured. :)

If I find out more I'll let yah know.

I read about this film but this is the first trailer I watched and it hasn't lowered my curiousity.
A surreal action flick with Jolie and especially Freeman and McAvoy, yep I'm in.

Haven't seen Night and Day watch yet, how's the director?

I am not a fan of Night Watch, having fallen asleep three times in the theater watching it, and I haven't yet watched Day Watch for that reason. However, Wanted looks pretty kick ass I think.
